Saturn Award winning production company Beyond Casual Media is excited to announce the release of the first installment in its new horror franchise, ‘Mister Sleep.” 

This is Amy Bailey & Rob Hollocks’ third feature as a producing team and Hollocks’ second feature as director. Also producing is Launch Entertainment’s Sheldon Brigman as well as Nik Wilets and Terrence Williams.

Filmed entirely on location in Augusta, GA, Mister Sleep is an original American slasher film directed by Hollocks and written by Hollocks and Bailey. (Applewood, The Observance, the 7th Mummy, Good Times at the BlueJay Saloon) It is the first feature in the intended Mister Sleep franchise. The film stars Claire Marie Lubeck, Alec James, Kate Dailey, Bronsonn Taylor, Austin Rhodes and Roger Dorsey as the eponymous Mister Sleep.

The story follows a deranged killer who survives prison execution and is reborn as a terrifying and unstoppable force of nature who unleashes savage and bloody revenge on a group of insomnia patients participating in a new drug trial, who he believes have stolen his memories.

The film combines the graphic imagery of the slasher genre with strong and memorable characters, locked in a relentless collision course with a terrifying and compelling antagonist.

Augusta-based Beyond Casual Media is an award-winning independent production company founded by Bailey, a veteran local entrepreneur. An accomplished writer and producer, Bailey’s goals of creating powerful and engaging stories coupled with ethical filmmaking have created many successes.

Hollocks worked for Paramount Pictures in a variety of high-profile roles both in the US & International markets. In addition to partnering with Bailey, he has worked on major movies and franchises such as “Saving Private Ryan,” “Indiana Jones” and “Star Trek.” most recently, he worked on Netflix and Riot Games’ #1 rated animated show; “Arcane,” and his directorial feature debut “Applewood.”

Their first feature film, “Encounter” starring Luke Hemsworth, produced by both Bailey and Hollocks, won several festival awards, culminating in a best independent picture win at the 2022 Saturn Awards.  Their second feature, “Applewood” is slated to premiere at the Berlin Film festival in February 2024.
